This project was achieved by first surveying the Plants and Environmental Sciences building at UC Davis, and then replicating the space in Vectorworks. Surveying a space and turning it into a 3D model is an important process for architects and designers to accurately plan and visualize their projects. Using software like Vectorworks, designers can take measurements of the space and create a digital 3D model of the environment. The Vectorworks model can then be imported into Twinmotion, a real-time visualization software that allows for advanced rendering, lighting, and landscaping. With Twinmotion, designers can add realistic textures and lighting to their 3D model, and even create virtual reality walkthroughs. This allows designers to see how the space will look and feel in real life, and make any necessary adjustments before construction begins. By surveying a space and creating a 3D model, designers can create more accurate and effective plans, ultimately leading to a more successful and efficient construction process. The combination of Vectorworks and Twinmotion provides architects and designers with a powerful tool to create detailed and realistic 3D models of their designs, allowing them to better communicate their vision.
With this 3D Model, I created an Art Gallery to showcase 3D models of classical art. The use of Twinmotion brought the textures to life and created an immersive experience where I recorded from the first perspective walking around the gallery.
This space was surveyed and 3D modeled in Vectorworks.
This digitally rendered art gallery showcases a juxtaposition of classic marble sculptures with natural, leafy elements. This video rendering was done in Twinmotion.
